"F1" (2025) Film Review

Final Score: 8.8/10

This film has extraordinary reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, my favorite film critic on YouTube, Jeremy Jahns gave it an "AWESOMETACULAR" and it has other praises from various film critic channels.

I am not particularly a big sports (if you consider racecar driving to be a sport) fan; I definitely do NOT watch or keep up with it on TV or anything. So I was wondering if I was going to enjoy this based on those predicaments.

As a film critic, I would say this film was entertaining, but it did not fully live up to the hype/expectations I had for it (in that I thought I was going to give a ~9.5/10).

One big strength was the cinematography. There was one rainy scene in which I thought it was done beautifully. As well as other shots.

And I would say this film's biggest strength was the music. Hans Zimmer, in my opinion, is the best film composer working today. And he continues his amazing streak even with this film. I am definitely planning on searching YouTube music for the soundtrack later.

The story/characters were all right as well the comic relief. The acting was good, not Brad Pitt's best performance, and I would say the actors overall did a B+ job.

The biggest FLAW was the appalling runtime. This 2hr 35 min film could've easily been cut down to 2 hours and I think 1hr 50-55 min would've been ideal.

Overall, it was entertaining and worth a shot - 8.8/10.
